Buying direct from the farmers has the greatest economic benefit. Once farming is economically sustainable, then and only then, can the farmer or cooperative make meaningful long term investments in socially sustainable or environmentally sustainable projects that span multiple years. We cultivate long-term personal relationships with the farmers and cooperatives from which we buy directly. |
